UC Santa Cruz Counseling and Psychological Services is seeking a licensed psychotherapist for the position of Campus Mobile Crisis Team (CMCT) Supervisor. The Mobile Crisis Response Team is responsible for responding to mental health and related crises happening on the UCSC campus.
The CMCT program was created in 2022 to respond to emergent mental health situations on our campus and to support student voices asking for innovative, culturally sensitive, and tiered responses to campus mental health crises and the national trend towards non-police options.
The Mobile Crisis Team Supervisor will oversee the work of mobile mental health crisis responders, be on call for backup coverage, provide direct mobile crisis intervention, respond to critical incidents, promote the Mobile Crisis Response service on campus, and work with campus partners on larger community safety issues.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The Campus Mobile Crisis Response Team is organized within Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and interfaces with multiple key campus entities including UCSC Risk Services, Police, Dean of Students Office, and Campus Housing. Part of Student Health Services, the mission of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is to support UCSC students, both graduate and undergraduate, in maintaining or improving their general well-being by providing a broad range of counseling, psychiatric services, consultation, and outreach services and programs to the campus community. Student Health Services (SHS) strives to create a caring and supportive environment to assist students in improving their physical and emotional well-being to aid in their academic success. SHS is a full-service medical facility offering medical, educational, and psychological services to diverse students on the UC Santa Cruz campus.
The UC Santa Cruz Campus Mobile Crisis Response Team is an innovative program responding to the identified need on the Santa Cruz campus to provide a tiered response to campus mental health crises that includes a non-police option. While this team services the entirety of the campus community, it is particularly relevant for the BIPOC element of our widely diverse campus. The Mobile Crisis Response Program 1) provides daytime, after-hours, and weekend campus crisis intervention; 2) improves the campus culture of care and infrastructure supporting students experiencing crisis, and 3) expands outcome monitoring and follow-up services for students in crisis.

JOB SUMMARY
The Mobile Crisis Response Team Supervisor oversees the UC Santa Cruz Campus Mobile Crisis Team and is supervised by the Counseling and Psychological Services Director. The Mobile Crisis Response Team is responsible for responding to mental health and related crises happening on the UCSC campus. The position specifically oversees the work of mental health responders employed in the program including hiring, training, and quality assurance. The position will be on call for backup coverage, provide direct mobile crisis intervention, be expected to respond to critical incidents, promote the Mobile Crisis Response service on campus, and work with campus partners on larger community safety issues.
APPOINTMENT INFORMATION
Budgeted Salary: $110,000-$130,000/annually. Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
Under California law, the University of California, Santa Cruz is required to post a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The salary shown above is the budgeted amount the University reasonably expects to pay and the salary extended should not exceed this posted amount.
