Description
The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health at Stony Brook Medicine seeks a full-time clinical psychologist to join our hospital-based Consultation & Liaison Psychiatry Division and Employee Support Team. The psychologist will work as part of an interdisciplinary team composed of psychologists, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, residents, psychiatry fellows, and psychology trainees (externs, interns, and post-doctoral fellows), and will be responsible for providing psychological services, especially with children and adolescents, including diagnostic assessment, risk management, brief interventions and aid in training activities for pre- and post-doctoral psychology trainees as part of the Stony Brook University Consortium Training Programs in Clinical Psychology. The psychologist will also be responsible for aiding in employee support and wellness activities. The position includes additional opportunities for teaching and research.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Ph.D./PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA or PCSAS-accredited University. New York State license or eligibility. Experience with behavioral medicine and health psychology settings. Experience with conducting psychological evaluations and providing cognitive-behavioral therapy and other evidence-based psychotherapy with children/adolescents. Experience with risk assessment/management. Experience with providing supervision to psychology trainees.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-doctoral training in consultation and liaison psychology. Experience working as part of a Consultation and Liaison team within a hospital-based setting. Experience with pediatric oncology. Clinical Psychology publications in peer reviewed journals.
