Assistant Research Professor, Nursing

The Penn State College of Nursing is looking for an assistant research professor (non-tenure track, fixed term) with experience in quantitative methods and nursing or the health sciences. The successful candidate will have a doctorate in nursing, psychology, health science, biobehavioral health or a related discipline and extensive experience applying quantitative methods to data from studies on biopsychosocial phenomena. The candidate will provide statistical consultation for research faculty including design and planning for research studies, preparation of materials for funding applications, and development of scholarly manuscripts based on data analysis of existing data sets. Successful candidates will also have demonstrable experience teaching quantitative methods to students at the graduate level as they will also contribute to the quantitative curriculum of the College of Nursing doctoral programs through courses on fundamental (e.g., general linear modeling) and more advanced statistical topics (e.g., structural equation modeling, multilevel modeling). In addition, the candidate will mentor students in the doctoral programs consulting as needed on design and analysis for research projects including dissertations.
