Description
The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor will serve as the weekend attending psychiatrist on our adult 30-bed residency teaching unit as well as the consultation-liaison service, providing direct patient care and supervision of medical students and psychiatry residents. The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor will be responsible for facilitation/participation in research involving psychiatric inpatient treatment, and may have opportunities to lead new program development or educational initiatives.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

MD Degree. Board eligible or certified in Adult Psychiatry, New York State license eligibility. Experience in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry.

Preferred Qualifications:

1) Minimum one year of post-residency experience in adult inpatient psychiatry, including psychiatric administrative experience.

2) Track record of research/teaching experience in Adult Psychiatry.

3) Experience consulting on patients with psychiatric problems admitted to medical/surgical units.

4) Experience with management of aggressive behaviors.
